Welcome to all parents of St. Mary’s Academy students. We cordially invite you to attend our Guild meetings. The meetings provide parents with opportunities to meet with other parents, to participate in the planning and organizing of fundraising and school social events and to learn more about the school and community life of St. Mary’s Academy. Meetings generally last one and a half hours and Sr. Susan provides us with coffee and treats.
Our first meeting of the school year will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at 7:30 p.m. in the SMA Boardroom. Parents may enter the school through the front door of the Administration Building located on Wellington Crescent.

Congratulations to all SMA parents for a very successful 2008-2009 fundraising year. The Parents’ Guild raised $60,000. This money was used to enhance our daughters’ school life in the following ways:
•A student agenda for each student
•Campus Ministry support to purchase sacred vessels for liturgies
•Financial support to student education enrichments activities
•Financial support for the Bursary Fund
•Parents’ Guild Academic Scholarship (to a graduating student)
•Parents’ Guild School Citizenship Award (to a graduating student)
•Super Sixer pins for grade 12 students in their 6th year at SMA.
•A gift for each graduate
•Hospitality and catering for the staff appreciation luncheon
•Hospitality at Open House for prospective students and their families
•A Core Pole for phys. Ed.
•Musical instruments for drama and choir
•A fridge for the foods lab
•2 microwaves for the cafeteria
•Audio enhancement systems for 2 classrooms
•1 computer and 1 LCD projector
•Contribution towards the purchase of the new LED sign
