Parents at SMA
Parents play an important role in the education of their daughters. St. Mary’s Academy encourages active cooperation between parents and teachers to help students achieve academic success and personal growth. Parents are kept informed about their daughters progress through three written reports and two parent-teacher conferences during the year. A bi-monthly newsletter for parents and the school website provide information about clubs, activities, coming events, and student successes.

Parents also play an important role in the life of the school as volunteers. We count on parents to supervise field trips, judge events, drive athletes, coach teams, sew costumes, build sets, and chaperone dances.

Parents' Guild
All parents and guardians of SMA students are members of the Parents’ Guild and are encouraged to become active participants. Guild parents organize numerous activities and events throughout the year to raise funds, provide services and give parents, students and staff the opportunity to come together as a community. Guild meetings are usually held on the first Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. In addition to Guild business, Guild meetings are a forum for parents to exchange information with the school administration and to meet other SMA parents.
