We take pride in our alumnae and friends who model excellence and service in their personal and professional lives. The Marian Awards were instituted by St. Mary’s Academy in 2005 to recognize a variety of outstanding achievements by alumnae and friends of the school. Honorees distinguish themselves and the Academy by continuing to Hold High the Torch.

Nominations
Honorees may be nominated by other alumnae, SMA staff, and family members. To nominate someone please complete and return the nomination form by January 31st. A Nominating Committee will review nominations and the final selection will be made by the Director of the Academy. Two to four recipients are selected each year.

Achievements worthy of nomination include:

• Outstanding Volunteer Service to Community or Church or to the Academy
• Accomplishments in a special field such as science, medicine, technology, engineering, the environment, education, theatre, music, visual arts
• Distinguished Professional Career
• Furthering social justice, improving the lot of women, children, the poor and disadvantaged
