St. Mary’s Academy is committed to providing accessible Catholic education through affordable tuition rates, reasonable annual increases and a bursary program for tuition assistance.

Tuition
Tuition for all grades for the 2009 – 2010 school year is $5,450 for residents of Manitoba. Tuition for the 2010 – 2011 school year will be set in March 2010. Tuition includes the cost of textbooks but does not include the cost of the school uniform, gym clothes, or extra-curriculars.

There are four tuition payment plans:

  • Plan A – one payment on September 1st (receive a discount of $100)
  • Plan B – two equal payments September 1st and January 1st
  • Plan C – seven equal payments starting September 1st
  • Plan D – nine equal payments from starting July 1st

Families with more than one daughter at SMA receive a $400 discount for the second daughter and an additional $600 discount for the third daughter.

Financial Aid
St. Mary’s Academy wishes to assist students who are qualified for, but cannot afford, an Academy education. Thanks to generous donations from alumnae, the Parents’ Guild, friends of SMA and the Sisters of the Holy Names a bursary fund has been established to provide financial aid to those students whose parents demonstrate financial need.

You can download a Bursary Application form from here or request an application by contacting Ms Judy Ashcroft, Director of Admissions at 477-0244 between 8:15 a.m. and 12 noon Monday through Friday or at admissions@stmarysacademy.mb.ca. Bursaries are awarded on the basis of demonstrated financial need, the number of students requesting a bursary, and the amount of bursary money available.

Deadline for bursary applications is May 1st. Applicants will be advised whether or not they have been awarded a bursary by early June.
