Students are expected to be well-groomed at all times and to wear the uniform during school hours. Wearing the SMA school uniform fosters a sense of belonging to the Academy community. The SMA uniform, with the exception of shoes, is supplied by Halpern’s Limited of Toronto and must be purchased from the Uniform Shop at the school. Students have a variety of mix and match options for winter and summer.

Winter Uniform
The winter uniform may be worn all year. It consists of a blue plaid kilt, white oxford button down collar shirt with short or long sleeves, navy knee socks, navy tights or navy panty hose, and dark grey, navy, black, or brown dress shoes (supplied by student).

Students may also purchase a regulation sweater, available in cardigan, pullover or sleeveless vest, and a regulation tie.

Summer Uniform
Students may choose to wear the summer uniform from May 1^st to Thanksgiving. The summer uniform includes a light weight navy skirt, navy or white regulation polo shirt (with SMA logo) or white uniform blouse, navy knee highs, and regulation shoes.

Colour Days
Throughout the year students enjoy several colour days  when they are not required to wear the uniform. Sometimes the colour day benefits a charitable cause and students and staff are asked to make a modest donation for the privilege of dressing down. Other times colour days are a spirit building activity.
