St. Mary’s Academy operates on a 6-day cycle. Each day of the cycle there are 6-55 minute classes with time for class change in between. Students in grades 7 and 8 do not have unscheduled time. The number of unscheduled class periods a senior high student has per cycle ranges from 2 to 8 depending upon grade level and course selection. Free time may be spent in the library, the cafeteria, an available classroom or computer lab. Senior students may also leave the campus.
The school day begins at 8:35 am. Students who arrive early may go to their homerooms, the library or the cafeteria until the warning buzzer rings at 8:30 am. By 8:35 am everyone should be in their first period classroom for O Canada, prayer and announcements.
