The Mission Club gives SMA students an opportunity to help people and to support worthy causes. Homeroom Mission Reps take up weekly collections and organize food drives, Christmas hampers, special homeroom events, and the Lenten world meal.

Mission reps usually meet once a month.

Education A Gift We Share Campaign

St. Mary’s Academy is proud to be part of the family of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary Schools. In 2006 SMA students and staff launched the “Education a Gift We Share” program designed to assist HIV/AIDS orphans with tuition to attend Holy Names High School, our sister school in Lesotho, Africa.

The gift card works very simply. The card giver makes a donation (minimum $5) to honour a recipient and the monies are used to help orphan students in Lesotho attend school.
